I am Simone and I am a wedding celebrant. I love weddings without kitsch, people with an open mind, and wedding speeches during which no guest falls off their chair after the first sentence – except with laughter.

• I hate mushrooms, but I regularly cook with a spice blend called “Magic Mushroom Powder” (no, it contains nothing but ground porcini, honestly).
• I have more than 280 lovingly logged dives.
• I always thought I was unromantic and would never in my life have guessed that I would end up in the wedding industry.
• I once got to watch a caesarean section, an abdominal operation, a hand operation and a heart operation all on the same day. The baby was called Linda.
• The next thing I am getting tattooed is two strawberries.
